Same Sex Marriage

Sorry guys, I've been M.I.A. for the last few days.  Been a busy bee, traveling and teaching my butt off.  I know I've seen LOTS of you in the past few days and I'm so thankful for that and grateful that you love to come to my classes.  Believe me, I get as much or more out of it than you do!!!

So, lots of firsts, which could lead to some interesting comments here.  I would LOVE to hear your feedback.  But, keep in mind, this is my page, and I only welcome positive feedback.  Any negativity will be deleted!!

Friday, as I said before, I drove up to Maryland, to go to an old old friends wedding reception.  This was my first trip, by myself, driving out of the state without my kids.  THAT was hard, and once I got past hyperventilating as I drove by Hope's pre-school, I did OK: )  Also, met with someone about a business that Joe and I are going into that is going to light a fire under the butts of lots of sedentary people.  That to me is beyond EXCITING!!!

Another first, well, something that hasn't happened in 10 years...I bought a pair of black dress pants.  Da na na naaaaaa..... CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT???  10 years!  Yes, I'm a loser in the dressing department.  Give me a fuzzy pair of sweats any day and you can color me happy.  So listen to this.  These pants fit like a glove.  I mean, no plumber crack, no panty lines, just perfect.  Got a nice shirt and shoes to go with them and I was golden.  I get home, throw all of my new clothes into the washer, thinking they were all cold wash items.....NOT!  My lovely, brand new, first pair of black pants in 10 years were "DRY CLEAN ONLY".  ARGGGGGG!  I still haven't gotten the nerve to try them on.  And shhhhhh, I still haven't had the nerve to tell Joe what I did, LOL!

So, Saturday night, I went to a reception to celebrate marriage of an old friend.  She and I grew up playing soccer together and she is just one of those people that you don't talk to for 2 years and then you see them and you could talk forever.  Know what I mean?  She just ROCKS!  Well, she now has a wife!  And I am so happy and blessed to have met her because she is just as nice and wonderful as my friend is.  I didn't want to embarrass my friend in case I did not approve, and had to do some ass kicking, but none was needed.  Her wife is itty bitty, but ripped, I think she could kick my ass!  And hilarious to boot, so you know she won my heart instantly.

Ok, there you have it.  Lots of firsts this weekend.  And an experience that I had never had before.  Remember to keep an open mind people.  There are all walks of life and until you've walked a mile in someone else's shoes, there is no room for you to judge them!!

Peace,
deb: )

  1. Deb, you rock!! Funny that Teresa and I just had a similiar conversation last night!! Anyway, I am hoping that in our society today, people of all walks of life, start accepting people for who they are....ok, I'm on my soapbox now....I like a person for WHO they are, not WHAT they are..does that make sense? I don't care what their sexual preference is, what color their skin is, how big their house is, how much money they have, well, you get the picture...if they are a good person, click with my personality, and nice, they are my friend...plain and simple!!! I could go on and on about this, but I will spare you and all of your followers!! Just wanted to say, good for you for being this way...as more and more people start thinking like us, won't it make a more peaceful world in which to live???? Ok, now I'm done!! See ya tonight!
